Using phase interference to characterize dynamic properties—a review of constant gradient, portable magnetic resonance methods

چکیده
Spatially resolved motion-sensitized magnetic resonance (MR) is a powerful tool for studying the dynamic properties of materials. Traditional methods involve using large, expensive equipment to create images sample displacement by measuring spatially MR signal response time-varying field gradients. In these systems, both and stress applicator are typically positioned inside magnet bore. Portable instruments with constant gradients more accessible, fewer limitations on size, they can be used in industrial settings study samples under deformation or flow. We propose view which well-controlled sensitive region array acts as an integrator, velocity distribution leading phase interference detected signal, encodes information sample’s properties. For example, laminar flows Newtonian non-Newtonian fluids, determined analytically extract fluid’s from magnitude and/or phase. This review covers general procedures, practical considerations, examples applications mechanical analysis fluid rheology (viscoelastic deformation, pipe flows, Couette flows). Given that techniques relatively uncommon broader community, this intended advanced NMR users physics/engineering audience interested rheological NMR.

Theory of Gradient Coil Design Methods for Magnetic Resonance Imaging
The process to produce an MR image includes nuclear alignment, RF excitation, spatial encoding, and image formation. In simple terms, an magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) system consists of five major components: a magnet, gradient systems, an RF coil system, a receiver, and a computer system. To form an image, it is necessary to perform spatial localization of the MR signals, which is achieved ...

Introduction: Bacterial meningitis is an acute infectious inflammation of the protective membranes covering the brain. Its early diagnosis is vital because of its high morbidity and mortality. It is mostly diagnosed by a gold standard diagnostic tool i.e. Cerebrospinal Fluid (CSF) analysis. However, it is sometimes difficult and or impossible to do this procedure and an alternative diagnostic t...
